All the gods presented Maa Katyayani With Weapons For the battle against mahishasura. After Slaying mahishasura, Maa Katyayani Began To Be Known As Maa MahishasuraMardini. Maa Katyayani’s Beheading Of mahishasura With Her Sword Is a metaphor for viveka, which is the ability to discern between the apparent and the real, the transient and the eternal.
