Maa Uma Is Another Name Of Maa Parvati, One Of The Highest Forms Of The Divine Mother Of the universe Maa Aadi ParaShakti. Maa Uma Symbolizes The Dynamic Creative Energy And The Force Of Life Which Connects all beings And Provides the means of their ‘moksha’ or spiritual liberation.
According to Book 12, Chapter 8 of The Holy Devi Bhagavatam Purana, After Creating this universe, Maa Uma Enters Within that As The Inner Controller Of all And It Is She Who Impels all the jîvas always to their due efforts and actions. Know, verily, that It Is She Who Commands the causes of the works of creation, preservation and destruction of this universe. All are performing their functions By Her Command. Through the Terror From Her the wind blows; Through Her Terror, the sun moves in the sky; Through Her Terror, Indra, Agni, and Yama do their respective duties. She Is The Best And Superior to all.
