ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः
तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यम
भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि।
धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात॥

Bhur Bhuvah Svah
Tat Savitur Varenyam
Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi
Dhiyo Yo nah Prachodayat

“O Thou Supreme Divine Mother, Creator of the three dimensions, we contemplate upon Thy Divine Light. May Thy stimulate our intellect And Bestow Upon us True Knowledge.”

The Maa Gayatri Mantra First Appeared In The Rig Veda (Mandala 3.62.10). The First Word ‘Om’ Is The Primeval Sacred Sound That Existed Before the creation of the world. ‘Bhur, Bhuvah and Svaha’ translate to the physical, mental and spiritual worlds respectively. ‘Tat’ Denotes The Ultimate Reality, ‘Savitur’ Is The Divine Sun, ‘Varenyam’ Means The Highest, Most Adorable. ‘Bhargo’ Means Illumination. ‘Devasya’ Denotes The Grace Of The Supreme Divine Mother And ‘Dheemahi’ Means to meditate upon. ‘Dheeyo’ Is the understanding and intellect, ‘Yo’ Refers to the word who And ‘Nah’ Means our. The last word ‘Prachodayat’ Is The Act of enlightenment.

Some of the positive effects of chanting Maa Gayatri Mantra are: increased learning power, concentration, prosperity, peace, happiness, Strengthening of the mind and health, protection of devotees from all dangers and guidance towards spiritual enlightenment.
