The Goddess Has Two Forms- One Auspicious and The Other Terrible, similar to Shiva’s terrible form as Rudra apart from His usual auspicious form. This twofold complementary nature of Divinity as both the auspicious and the terrible highlights the play of light and dark. Both are aspects of the Supreme Being.
